Development charges can vary greatly dependent upon individual requirements. This page, however, is aimed at giving potential clients a guide to the development and programming charges of JPR Freelance for working remotely.

Web Design - Static Websites
A static website can be described as a basic custom designed site with no additional programming but possibly one or more simple enquiry forms.

Typically a 10-page website with a single enquiry form would cost around £250. Hosting for static sites would be charged at £8.00 per month (payable by standing order) to include support and up to 5 email accounts.

Web Design - Static Websites - Extra Functionality
There may be small areas of your website that you wish to maintain yourself - for example a news page, a pricing page or a guest book. The cost for a static website with this extra functionality 'bolted-on' would vary dependent upon requirements but an approximate cost would be £400-£600.

Hosting for this type of website would typically be charged at £9.50 per month (payable by standing order) to include support and up to 5 email accounts.

Database Driven & Dynamic Websites
You may need a fully functional, searchable database behind your website with a full content management system that can be used to maintain database records. An example could be a website belonging to an estate agent or car dealership where the user would need to maintain properties / motor cars for sale.

Again costs vary dependent upon requirements but generally fall within the range of £500-£2000.

Hosting for dynamic & database driven sites is normally charged at £15.00 per month (payable by standing order) but may vary dependent on the amount of data storage required.

E-Commerce Websites
Ecommerce websites are a little more complex to develop as they need integrating with a payment solution such as Worldpay or Paypal. Past e-commerce developments have cost between £800 and £1500.

Hosting for e-commerce websites is normally charged at £15.00 per month (payable by standing order) but may vary dependent on the amount of data storage required. Additional 3rd-party fees may apply such as those levied by credit card payment providers.
